Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She earned an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is actively involved in theater, film, and television. She started acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and television series. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she was a character. Not only did she get praise from critics for her performance, but she also received a few awards and nominations. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Her stage credits include the Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. For her work on television she's received praise for her performance as the regular character in ABC's drama about cops High Incident.
