Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, BJJ and wrestling, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd was able to beat three times consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were finished within the first few minutes. Following that, she travelled to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. She continued her dominance and racked up an impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd ended Evinger in the first round. She also received a performance of the night bonus. Her first major fight came in her next fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd was the winner of the night's fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
